Bhringraj has a special place in ancient Indian medicine because of its positive effects on hair, skin. It is a fast spreading herb. The leaves are commonly used in hair oil preparation.

Botanical Name: Eclipta alba
- Growing:
- Bhringraj is native to tropical and subtropical regions and prefers warm climates. It can tolerate a wide range of temperatures including a brief period of draught.
- It doesn’t survive in extreme winter.
- Start the seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost date or sow them in early spring.
- Depth of seed germination- 1/4th inch
- Seed germination occurs in 1-2 weeks.
- Bhringraj likes high humidity. The soil should be kept moist (not waterlogged) all the times for optimal growth.
- Soil pH – acidic to neutral
- Growing Zone- USDA 10-11
- Optimal temperature is between 20°C to 35°C (68°F to 95°F).
- Light Requirements: Sunny 6+ hours of sunlight
- Days to maturity 55-60
- Keep the plants contained to prevent taking over the garden space.
