Ice Plant seeds are very small and require light to germinate. Surface sow the seeds and gently press them onto the surface of moist growing medium without covering them with soil. Keep the growing medium lightly and consistently moist during germination.

Start seeds indoors or sow directly outdoors after the danger of frost has passed. Avoid overwatering, as the seedlings are sensitive to excessive moisture and poor drainage.

Plant Care & Blooming

Provide full sun and excellent drainage for the best growth and flowering. Once established, Ice Plant is highly tolerant of heat and dry conditions and generally requires less water than many traditional flowering plants.

Allow the soil to dry between waterings and avoid planting in areas where water collects. Excess moisture can cause root and crown problems.
